We want to manage the development of employees’ skills and performance so that they can perform at their best.
Under the Public Services Stability Agreement 2017 (draft agreement reached between Government and the public service unions), if ratified, every Public Service body will have an employee performance management system in place by 1 January 2019.

Action 16 – Strengthen performance management
A weakness that undermined Strategic Management Initiatives previously was the lack of enforcement of regulatory breaches.  This will also assist with improving standards in corporate culture.

Moving people out of their roles every two years to keep them at the top of their game and ensure performance are not stale or unmotivated. Education and professional development as a natural part of progression and growth.
